Year 4 Homework. Reading - We expect the children to read at least three times a week. They should record this in their school planners, on the yellow pages. We ask parents to sign this weekly. After finishing a book the children should log onto the accelerated reader website to complete a comprehension quiz to show their understanding of the text. Children should then record their score in.
The homework will be alternated each week and will usually be a maths, reading comprehension or grammar task. Homework will be accompanied by a guidance sheet outlining expectations and optional comments box. Each half-term there will also be a learning log task linked to the current topic. For this there will be a selection of different activities for children to choose from. The Learning Log.
